Meet The YAM Educators
What Is A Docent?
Carrie Goe – Nettleton, Museum Art Educator. Carrie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and Montana Educator Certification. Carrie teaches art to Pre-K-12 students at the YAM and our offsite partnerships.
Mary Serbe, Education Director. Mary has a Master of Arts in Teaching, a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and Montana Educator Certification. Mary leads the education department at the YAM.
Jennifer Parry, Education Program Coordinator. Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with a minor in Art History. Jennifer is the contact person for all tours and classes.
Upcoming Professional Development
Join us online via Zoom to learn about the Online Art Suitcase on Monday, November 2nd from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. OPI Professional development credits are offered. Learn how to discuss art with your students using Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS), teach art making to your students in your classroom, and brainstorm about cross curricular integration such as math, science, writing and Indian Education for All. We welcome your questions and feedback so that we can make the Online Art Suitcase the best tool for educators.
